The Careful Exam

When looking for the cause of atrial fibrillation during a physical examination, not only can the doctor's olfactory bulb be helpful, but so can the examination of what gets brought into the exam room.

Patient: "Hey doc, it's just a Pepsi."

Doctor: "Really? Can I see?"

Nothing a good knife and a piece of scotch tape can't manufacture.

Case solved.

Ah, but would you have caught it if he had a "Caffeine-free Diet Coke" "skin" on top of a can of Jolt cola? ;)

Hard to make this stuff up... I blurred the background of the images to protect identities but the rest, as they say, is the real McCoy.

Dude's got good taste in brew.

Personally, when I'm in Chicago, I go for Old Style.

I know a particular ER nurse (name withheld) who pulled this post up at work and had four co-workers around her going "NO WAY", "WHOA", "DUDE!" and one who wanted to know precisely how it might have been done.

I worry about that one.

It livened up a rather dull night shift, er, evening shift.
