Standing up for the practicing physician
is that stealing?
Anony-Sharing maybe. But not stealing. Certainly, copyright issues may be in play, but I'd turn to the legal community for their take on this, especially as it relates to a doctor overseas sending references to a colleague.Perhaps a more interesting question for physician "quality" and "performance" advocates is why we don't make evidence-based literature freely available to treating, licensed physicians. Certainly the online journal Plos is open to all, but should there be a model available that permits our doctors access to important literature-based innovations in healthcare? This might be one of the most important "quality measures" enacted. Just a thought.
