Prostate News Noone Needs

Read what you see in health care news with a grain of salt. Once again we find a "study" on the beneficial effects of pomegranate juice that presumably helps slow prostate cancer progression funded entirely by a trust that owns, what else, but POM Wonderful, which supplied juice for the study.
The study, performed at (UCLA's) Clark Urology Center, was funded by the Stewart and Lynda Resnick Trust. The Resnicks own POM Wonderful, which provided the juice from the Wonderful variety of pomegranate for the study.
The sample size was shamefully small (50 patients), only related to slowing PSA "doubling time" (not actual tumor burden), and the mechanism for this action completely unknown. UCLA "researchers" that permit such conjecture to be promulgated as a press release before more answers exist should be ashamed.

And I suppose your prostate's smaller, too, huh?
