The actor, Tom Sizemore, using this device during court-ordered urinalysis was how I first heard of it.
In the Navy, the Master at Arms (MAA) personnel that administer "golden flow" tests have to have direct sight of a male's penis while the subject fills a specimen cup. Many times the MAA would step up next to me, prop his arms on the divider wall next to the urinal to watch me fill the bottle. With me now being a pain management patient I laugh to myself about the other patients that I see in the pain clinic that loudly complain about the "invasion of their privacy" when they have to go into a private bathroom, by themself, to provide a specimen. After five years of golden flow tests in the military, being so closely monitored, I can only shake my head in wonderment.
