I am an American ...This is a very interesting post. I am an American who lives in Germany and I can say that in such a case, you can call a doctor and get an appointment on the same day. I'm not a 'private' patient, but we do pay a lot for insurance into what is essentially a single payer system. However, it does work because we do have the right to pick our insurance and our doctors. It is not a perfect system,Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
